The infantry block-house T-S 63 is located at the foothill just above the small mountain river Libeč.
The object, which is included in the construction sub-section 2 Zlatá Olešnice ŽSV VI Trutnov, was formed of concrete within 23rd – 27th August 1938 as a part of the boundary fortification.
It concerns a one-sides two-floor object with a pointed casemate. The axes of weapons L1 (i.e. 47 mm anti-tank cannon, type 36, joined with 7.92 mm heavy machine gun, type 37) and M (i.e. twins 7.92 mm heavy machine guns, type 37) form the angle of 40 degrees. The weapon L1 should have been protected with armored curtain. This equipment was chosen instead of the originally planned face semi-cupola. Its installation was also planned in the other block-houses, e.g. StM-S 50. In September 1938, the infantry block-house T-S 63 was prepared for defense only partially—the most important weapon of the object, i.e. 47 mm anti-tank cannon, type 36, was not installed yet. The block house was temporarily equipped with machine guns and the twins of heavy machine guns, type 37, might be installed, too. However, other equipment was also missing – diesel aggregate, filtration station, engineering networks, brick partition walls and armored bell.
After the Munich betrayal, the infantry block-house was situated in the occupation zone of the German Army. During the occupation, the loopholes of the main weapons and one auxiliary loophole of the weapon N (i.e. 7,92 mm light machine gun, type 26) were destroyed. After the war, the object was reconstructed into a chalet. Beside other things, some brick partition walls were built and the shooting room was painted and even decorated. Afterwards, the block-house was abandoned, became overgrown and devastated …
In the late 2001, a group of enthusiast started taking care of the object commend reconstruction works. The interior of the object was cleaned of debris and post-war additional construction, undergrowth was removed from the exterior and the diamond mote was cleaned of waste … Basic works aiming at securing were also performed – temporary electrical lighting in the whole block-house, construction of railings, etc. Now a dummy of the bell and a loophole are built for the twins of heavy machine guns, including a gun-carriage. The intention is to built some partition walls inside the block-house, install doors and realize permanent power distribution. Plans for the future include a reconstruction of the exterior of the object – installation of dummies of cut-out loopholes of the main weapons and the loophole N as well as other terrain modifications. After the realization of all these works, the object should be brought to the conditions after its final completion from the outside. Another intention is to install a military-historical exposition here and, thereby, establish a small museum of boundary fortification in the Trutnov region.
